Zoologist

Today, I learned my son DJ wants to be a zoologist because he loves animals. I think it is a neat career choice and I will fully support him in pursuing it. I believe he will make it as a zoologist because he loves animals and is always wanting to help those that are hurt.

However, my daughter Miranda surprised when she announced that she wants to be a marine biologist. She loves animals to, but she also loves to swim. So, should be a good choice for her as well. I feel blessed to have children who love animals and want to help them in anyway they can. I do believe that they will follow their dreams, no matter what obstacles arise.

Young Love

This Royal Couple has been in love, since they met almost nine years ago at college. I was first intrigued by the couple's wedding plans, but later I became more intrigued when I learn the facts behind their romance.

I think it awesome that this couple managed to stay together, despite the constant turmoil that the couple faced. I hope that the paparazzi will leave them alone especially Princess Catherine. In addition, I hope that Princess Catherine and Prince William will find a way to keep their love alive for many more years.

Xenophilia Kicks in for the Royal Wedding Around the Globe

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge First Public Kiss as Newlywed Royals on April 29th, 2011

Most people in the world has waited for the royal wedding of Prince William Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton since the engagement was announced. The happy couple will now be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge from this day forward. Many people from many different countries tuned in to watch the service whether by television or the internet. This hype and media coverage allowed people to watch their favorite or even not-so favorite royal couple say.."I will"!

Some many people from different countries, lined the street to participate in the wedding of the couple who will be the future of the British Monarchy. I couldn't believe that millions of people flooded the circle where the Goddess of Victory statue stands. Just outside of the Buckingham Palace's and it has a nice view of the balcony Balcony where the royal couple shared their first Royal Kiss in public as husband and wife.

I was one of those people who watched the entire event and even enjoyed the surprises along the way. I am excited to follow this love story, just as many other people from around the entire world like Australia or Africa. Many people from USA like me could watch it from the comfort or our own home, as well as participate in local events that allows people to feel as if they are part of the wedding.

I had a lot of fun and wonder what was your favorite moments, because mine was the double kisses. I really felt that the royal wedding was romantic yet elegant,  as well as a fairy tale coming true for Miss Catherine Middleton and Prince William Wales.

I pray the Royal Couple have a long and happy life together! In addition as husband and wife.

Footnote: Xenophilia means the love of foreigners and I think the entire world felt this way for Britain.

Wading with the Duck

On a hot day this past weekend, my daughter decided to slip on her swim suit and go swimming with her duck...Quackers! She enjoyed playing with duck while I took pictures, until the duck slipped out of her hands. She ended up chasing the duck all over the yard to catch her again.

After catching him, she decided to let her swim with her for a little while longer. However, the duck had different ideas, so she ended up putting her back in the coop. I love her duck!

Unbelievable Day

Aunt Donna and the little ones

Today, I celebrated Easter with my children, my husband, and my adopted Aunt Donna's family. We had a fantastic time and I felt right at home with her family. I took pictures and I got to hold Tristian Rose, who is a girl twin that belongs to my Aunt's oldest son. When I was younger, I used to baby sit him when James and his little Brother Andrew was little  My children and I had a wonderful time, so did my husband who got to help cook.

I love my adopted Aunt Donna and her family for taking me in as a family member during their holiday celebrations. Thanks to their example, they have showed me exactly what true family celebrations are all about. My family never celebrated any holidays, so I couldn't miss something I never did during the years as I grew. However, now that I have experienced several holidays with her family, I feel truly blessed to be loved by them all.

I wanted to posted this blog to say thank you to my Aunt Donna for loving me all these years.

Thomas: My Twin Brother

This is my twin brother Thomas and his little boy Stone. We had a interesting relationship as we grew up, because we both wanted separate identities. Now that we are older we are very close and I hope to stay that way. I wrote a poem for him years ago, when our relationship was broken and needed major repairs. I thank God everyday that we were able to fix and repair our relationship, so we can begin sharing our life together.

Eyes Like Me

By, Crystal S. Kauffman

Staring at an image of your face,
My brother was born in first place.
Looking at the image of me,
It is my twin brother I see.
Eyes with the same shape as mine,
My brother is the only link to a time.
Mistakes we both have made,
Built up hate and anger replaces the pain.
A bond broken many years ago,
Now, it is hard to let our love show.
Getting past the way we feel,
Is this the only way our bond can heal?
Help me try to turn the page,
Let us start acting our age.
Adults with responsibilities of our own,
I need my friend, I lost for so long!

Sitting With My Family On The Dock

My family and I decided to go feed the ducks and geese at a local pond. However, we decided take a few family pictures and I really enjoyed this time together with my family. This is a picture of me, my husband, my son and my daughter. We visit the pond regularly and enjoy taking time to feed the many birds we are able to get up close and personal with. Here is a few pictures of the ducks and geese we met today!

Rhymes of the Heart

This is the poetry book I self-published earlier this year with Lulu.com. I thought I would share a few poems out of it. These poems was written during the past ten years and chronicle what I felt during certain times in my life whether its bad or good.

Here are some excerpts....

As The Wind Whispers

By, Crystal S. Kauffman

The golden leaves are blowing,
A crystal blue river is flowing,
Birds are singing just above,
As I look for the perfect love.
The wind is blowing in my ear,
Is that your gentle voice I hear?
I look around only to see,
No one is standing close to me.
The sun is shining along the river,
As cooling air makes my body shiver.
I feel your warm and loving embrace,
But, the sunlight hides your face.
Only a moment will pass,
Will the peaceful feeling last?
I feel you touch my soul again,
Are you speaking through the wind?

Finding Yourself

By Crystal S. Kauffman
Life is like a flower that grows in the wild,
Dancing in the rain like a child.
Emotions stir as my heart awakes,
Wondering if I have made a mistake?
Flower snapping in the summer breeze,
Like a horse with broken knees.
My soul is wounded beyond repair,
There is nothing here, not even a flare.
The past has stolen my innocence away,
As a clumsy dancer, I continue to sway.
Stumbling through life without a light,
Holding on to what I feel is right.
Struggling to let my soul free,
I just want to be me!

Quiet Spot

The house is quiet today and this is a rare thing, when you have people who live with you. My mom and granny are busy doing something and my husband is at work, which is nice. My children are at school and my phone is off, so I can't be disturbed. The dogs are lying beside me and finally being quiet, so I am going to enjoy this quiet spot I have found. I plant to write or work on school stuff, but first I am going to soak up the peace I feel right now.

Priceless!!!

These are my favorite pictures, because it is of my wedding 4 years ago and they are priceless to me. This day was crazy but special for me, because of my preacher getting sick and ending up in the hospital. My entire family was there to witness our ceremoney and we said "I do" in my grandpa's front yard. That was my dream and I was able to fulfil it, by getting married in the yard that surrounds the home I grew up in. This house I live in now has a lot of priceless memories, but this one is one I wanted to share with my readers.

Opening up a New Virtual World

Second Life is a Virtual World

Last week, I opened a Second Life account and now I am learning how to use it. I have met a few nice people there, who have taken time to show me around as a newbie. I really like the creative graphics and the interactive platform that this game offers the players. The game reminds me of the SIMS game, which I liked as well because you can design your virtual world in whatever way you want too.

This allows someone to be creative but of course all the neat stuff cost money and I choose not to spend money on the game. I am keeping an open mind and hoping to learn more about this amazing virtual world. Personally, I choose an elf princess as my character and I chose a standard look for my avatar.

Many players I have met have said that you can buy new outfits, shoes, or hairstyles. In addition, I noticed that you can buy your avatar a house or you can buy your own land, as well as work a job during your time in the game. However, I am still new at this game and I bet there's a lot more stuff that I haven't discovered yet.

Maybe, I will meet other players who can help me learn more about this interesting game. I am glad that I stumbled upon the game after performing a internet search for role playing games with my son. I don't play many games online, unless I have time and they are connected to Facebook like Farm Town or FarmVille. Therefore, I think it will be neat to explore this new virtual world, which allows the user to become anything they want like an elf princess!

Nicole- My Soul Sister

My Best Friend Nicole

Nicole and I had a fun day today! We stopped by my friends house to look at the tattoo books and I was undecided on exactly what I wanted. So, we put off getting the tattoo until next week, in order to give me more time to think about what I want. I will keep you posted on what I will get and show pictures as well!

My friend Nicole and I have known each other since we were little girls. I was five and she was seven when we first met, but we have been true friends since that day. She is my soul sister and I would do anything for her and she knows it. Just as she would do anything for me as well! Here is a poem I wrote for her several years back.

Soul Sisters

By, Imogen Rayne

Like a flower in the spring,
Friendship can be a special thing.
A feeling that tells you, their the one,
To share life with and have so much fun!

Dance around as little girls,
Knowing we can have the whole world.
From playing house in my backyard,
To being moms and driving cars.

As our lives continues to change,
Our bond will stay the same.
Like a sister I will always cherish,
Our friendship will never perish.

Memory Tattoo

My wrist tattoo is something like this, but the words will read "Papa's Girl" and the fairy may have more colors.

Tomorrow, I am visiting a girl friend I haven't seen in several years and I am excited to be reconnecting with her thanks to Facebook. She is an excellent tattoo artist and she is going to design my memorial tattoo.

I have been wanting one on my wrist for over 3 years, in order to remember my grandfather. It will be small enough to cover, yet pretty enough to display when I want too. I will post a picture of the completed tattoo.

Laugh Everyday

A laugh a day can keep the blues away!!! Sometimes, we get so stressed out because of everyday things that may help bring us down. Having a good laugh with friends and family can immediately make you feel better, no matter what you are facing.

One thing that I have learned throughout my own illness, is that laughing can help empower you while dealing with any condition that you may face. Take time to watch a funny movie or observe your children or pet whenever they are being silly, especially when you are feeling blue. Renew your spirit and your sanity by laughing as much as you can throughout each day.

Kay and Me

Kay Patrick

Today, I wanted to share a simple story about a woman I love named Kay Patrick. I met her when I was a little girl and immediately she took me under her wing. Eventually, I began looking up to her as a mother, because of the many things she taught me. She stressed the importance of education, even though I got lost a few times along the way.

I finally took her advice and I went back to school, since I needed an education to obtain a decent job to help support my family. She and I have drifted apart communication wise, but her love still fills my heart every day. I know she didn't have to bless in the many ways that she has, but I am so grateful that I met her that fateful day.

God put her in my life and she has helped me become the woman I am today. Therefore, with this blog post I want to tell her, thank you for loving me!

Jay Moody--The Neighborhood Angel

Riley "Jay" Moody

The Neighborhood Angel

By, Imogen Rayne

Jay Moody was a simple yet honest man,
However, he wasn’t very hard to understand.
Sometimes whenever he spoke,
His kind words healed what was broke.

My neighbor loved his family every day,
In addition, he helped his friends in every way.
His passion was fixing anything that he could,
He was never a master, but he was talented and good.

I admired and respected the man that I knew,
As I watched him from my front porch while I grew.
He was there when he didn’t have to be,
I will always love him for caring about me.

He is in heaven right now as I walk this town,
I know he is happy and smiling down.
Life won’t be the same without him here,
Thankfully, I know he is always close and near.

Raising my glass in a silent but emotional toast,
I will remember the simple man, who cared the most.
His life was a beautiful dance that I was able to share,
As an angel, he will send little signs to show that he is still there.

Insightful Day

When my granddad passed, I waited for about three years before asking if I can take over the property. I first gave my other family members the choice of what they wanted. Well today, I realized just how blessed I am to be living in the home that I literally grew up in.

However, I miss my papa a lot, but I am so glad that I am able to save his legacy. I realized just how blessed I am when I look around the house and know he is here with me...even if it is in spirit.

Grandpa's Impact On My Life!

Me and Papa Just Before He Went to Heaven in June of 2007

Honoring Grandpa

By, Imogen Rayne

Without you, I am not sure where I would be,
Grandpa, you are the reason that I became me.
The guidance you have shown me through the years,
Helped me chase my dreams and forget my fears.

You never turned me away or told me good-bye,
With you beside me, I gained the courage to fly.
Now, I can share your story and continue to tell,
My children about the man I knew very well.

Time did not stop, when I learned you were gone,
I will hold my tears back and learn to carry on.
Allow him to forgive my troubles and strife,
Let me find a way, to honor him with my life.

Will I see you again, when my journey is through?
Until then, I will cherish my memories of you.
Grandpa, thanks for allowing me to shine so bright,
Watch over me and sleep with the angels tonight.

PS:  I wrote this poem after my grandfather passed away from lung cancer. I still miss him but I was so blessed to have spent 33 years of my life with him. He was my best friend and I miss him so much everyday, but I know he is alive in me.

This was taken three weeks before he passed away.

Papa’s Can Be Angel’s Too

By, Imogen Rayne

Thinking to when I was a little girl,
His words were my world.
Little girl wrapped like a gift,
Is closing her eyes and making a wish.

Lord allow him to stay,
In my life every day.
Words hurt sometimes when he spoke,
My heart he never broke.

Always working till he bled,
Too make sure his family is fed.
He went without just to make sure,
His family was safe and secure.

When he flies away to his home in the sky,
Hope he won't see his granddaughter cry.
Tears will fall the day he passes away,
He will be the angel who is watching me play.

PS: I have made and added a memorial video to help that I would to share with you. You will find it listed on the side portion of my blog. I hope you enjoy catching a glimpse of our life together.

Frankie....My Little Man

Believe it or not, I have known this bright and talented young man named Frankie, since he was a little over two years-old. He grew up with my own children and later he became my nephew by marriage. He loves gaming, reading, anime, music, and anything that is technology related.

Last night, I asked him if he would be interested in reading some of my unfinished novels and he said he would. This is an honor for me to have him read the books, which I have been writing since he was about 10 years old. Hopefully, he likes my books as much as I do and if not...I love him anyway!

Elmo Lover

My little niece Summer loves Elmo and she knows that Aunt Crystal knows how to wake up Elmo via YouTube. She enjoys singing and mimicking every little thing that Elmo does. Summer has all but change my name to Elmo because every time she sees me she hollers Elmo at the top of her lungs. She is my heart and I thought I would share her obsession with you!

Doggie Love

This blog is about my dog, Kali! She is a Pit Bull and acts like a Chihuahua, because she was raise by two of my Chihuahua. She steals the covers and pillows every night, which is a nightmare during the winter months. Kali just turned 4 years old in Feb., so her chewing things up and other puppy behaviors has seized to exist. She is rather protective of me and my family, but she is good with our other animals like my husband's pet goose.

Thankfully, she has never been aggressive towards children and she has always been a constant companion. So to be honest, I have never regretted owning her and I will always offer her a home forever. She has managed to penetrate and attach to my heart in ways I never thought possible. Personally, I know the debate about Pit Bulls, but I trust her with my life and my children's lives.

I hope that all dog owner's with Pitt Bulls are responsible and use dog training techniques taught by Ceaser Milan. His techniques teach you how to control the dogs behavior by becoming the Alpha Dog or a Pack Leader. His training techniques do work and will help you understand any dog's bad behavior. Take a moment to look him up, if you need help training your dog.

Never get a dog, unless you plan to keep it and give it a forever home. Be sure to spay and neuter your pets, because there are way to may homeless pets. So, visit a homeless shelter if you want a pet, because they have the most loving dogs and cats that desperately need a home.

Kali's best friend Moses. She is constantly defleaing him!

Cardiologist Visit for My Nephew

My Twin Brother's Family!

My nephew Stone, who is five had to go see the Cardiologist today. He didn't fear the visit a much as us adults did. He is in no immediate threat, but he will still need to see the Cardiologist for a while. He has an enlarged heart and I would like to ask ALL of my readers to pray for this sweet angel. He loves getting greeting cards if anyone would like to send them in care of me. Thank you to all!

Boy Running from a Canadian Goose

My son and my daughter were outside playing last weekend, when my husband's buddy (A Canadian Goose) decided she didn't want either of them to be close to her. So, she stalked my son and chased him all over our back yard, as my husband was fixing our weed eater.

My daughter thought it was hilarious, until the goose turned on her. However, I was smart and stayed on the porch, where I remained safe until she noticed me taking pictures. Finally, my husband had to stop what he was doing to capture his jealous pet goose and save all of us from her wrath.

A Mother’s Promise

Thanking God each day from the start,
From the moment you were born.
Your smile has captured my heart,
You entered my heart and kept me warm,
I watched you grow in so many ways.
From little hands and little feet,
You came home with me to stay.
To an adult with dreams to meet,
I will stand by your side from the very start.
A bond held together by a special glue,
If I am not here, look in your heart.
I will be there for you!
